About

Shows for dads, and for the men in the orbit of fatherhood.

The Dads Initiative is a media company building shows for dads - and for the men becoming dads, thinking about being dads, or just in the general orbit of fatherhood.

Our shows are built around the things dads actually care about: style, sports, the outdoors, food, money, gaming, and the everyday questions that don't fit neatly into a category.

Our first show, Reset Mode, is a men's style show co-produced with Style Girlfriend. It premieres Father's Day 2026. More shows are in development.

Why we're doing this

There's a gap in the way men get talked to right now. The loudest voices online have a lot to say about what men should be angry about, but very little to say about what they actually want.

What we hear from the dads we talk to is pretty consistent and pretty ordinary. They want to feel good. They want to do right by their kids. They want a life that's actually theirs. Those questions don't get a lot of airtime, and the few places they do get airtime are scattered and hard to find.

So we're creating different shows and telling stories that extend men's understanding of their own well-being, and that of their families: not as something won at others' expense, but as something built alongside the well-being of the people and places around them - through strong communities, a healthy democracy, and public policy that supports families of every kind.

Our goal is to build shows with and for fathers who believe this - and who show up as connected men, engaged citizens, and champions of that vision.

Who we are

The Dads Initiative is incubated at ParentsTogether, a nonprofit with a long history of work with and for families. Our team is built from people who've made television, run digital media, studied audiences, and lived the experience we're making shows about.

We partner with creators, producers, brands, and funders who share in our vision. We work with researchers and other organizations doing serious thinking about men and families. And we spend a lot of our time talking to dads.
